UK-based packaging firm Sirane has launched a new protective packaging called BenchGuard Advanced for laboratories, hospitals, surgeries and other clinical environments.
The new packaging product is said to have absorbent surface and act as a liquid barrier to avoid spillages in order to offer sterile surface protection and prevent cross-infection.
According to the company, BenchGuard Advanced is a lightweight, soft and impermeable faced cellulosic fabric suitable for protection of laboratory benches.
BenchGuard Advanced features a polyethylene surface layer resistant to most chemicals that can be used in both PE side upwards and downwards for preventing spillage of liquids or to absorb and retain them.
The new product is also said to be strong, tear resistant and can be readily disposed or incinerated after use.
Sirane has launched the BenchGuard Advanced with pre-cut sheets of various sizes, in reel/roll format as well as with adhesive strips.
