Global risk advisor, insurance and reinsurance broker, Willis Group's Maryland subsidiary has completed acquisition of accounts and certain personnel formerly associated with Maryland-based employee benefits insurance broker T.E. Burke & Associates.
Following completion of the transaction, T.E. Burke & Associates personnel, including Terence Burke, Brian Burke and Connie Ertel will join Willis of Maryland and will focus on expanding business in the Maryland, Metro DC and Virginia, US marketplaces.
Terence Burke said, "The employee benefits industry is changing rapidly and requires a deep bench to meet the growing needs of our clients."
Terms of the acquisition were undisclosed.
Willis Group offers professional insurance, reinsurance, risk management, financial and human resource consulting and actuarial services to corporations, public entities and institutions.
