Chaucer Syndicate 1084 has introduced a new marine product intended for vessel owners and operators in the offshore renewable energy sector.
According to InsuranceTimes.co.uk, the product will be unveiled at the upcoming Seaworks Exhibition in Southampton, and includes a package underwritten by Coastal Marine Services, a UK marine insurance underwriting agency.
Available to owners having vessels up to 5,000 GT, the product provides coverage either on a package basis or individual coverage for hull and machinery, protection and indemnity, cargo, engineering and maintenance.
The two companies have also earlier work together on a portfolio of marine coverages for smaller vessel owners under a Lloyd's coverholder agreement.
Chaucer underwrites in all major insurance and reinsurance classes, balancing global marine, energy, non-marine and aviation with UK motor and nuclear.
