Arcelormittal and Kumba to start arbitration over iron ore deliveries by Q4

ArcelorMittal South Africa, a local unit of global steelmaking giant ArcelorMittal, and South Africa's largest iron ore producer Kumba Iron Ore have indicated that they plan to start arbitration over iron ore deliveries by the last quarter of the current year, though no exact date has yet been set yet for the beginning of proceedings.

Late last month, South Africa's Supreme Court of Appeal confirmed the decision by the North Gauteng High Court in 2011 giving the Kumba subsidiary Sishen Iron Ore Company the exclusive right to mine at Sishen mine in South Africa.
