KPN Teamed up with Dyzle to Provide an Integrated Platform, PaaS, for The Food Industry

KPN, the Netherlands-based telecommunications and ICT services provider, has teamed up with Dyzle, a specialist in analyzing business process data for the cold chain in real-time, to provide an integrated platform, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), for the food industry.

The cloud-based solution is claimed to provide manufacturers with monitoring, tracking, and providing real-time data analytics and visualization, and allow them to improve their core business activity and efficiency, while complying with health regulations.

It collects and analyzes data such as temperature, humidity, energy consumption and CO2, and makes it available on a personal dashboard.

The information helps provide evidence and proof of product quality for temperature-sensitive products.

KPN M2M managing director Jimmy Wind said that this partnership is in line with the company's strategy of growth through value added services, and innovating in sectors like machine-to-machine (M2M) technologies, which are now being more widely adopted in almost every industry sector.

"By combining our M2M and RFID asset tracking solutions with Dyzle's monitoring and analytics platform, we will truly be able to move up the value chain in our service offering to business customers."

Wind added, "Not only can we track the location of a product in a logistic chain, but also we collect the environmental conditions during its shipment."

Dyzle CEO Bert Zandhuis commented, "This integrated platform offers customers a solution to a growing industry trend: that of huge amounts of data being collected, and needing to make sense of that data relevant to the business."
