Taiwan Exports Decrease in September, Says MOF

Taiwan recorded total export value of US$22.54 billion for September 2015, decreasing 5.8% on month and 14.6% on year, while the corresponding total import value of US$17.30 billion fell 13.4% on month and 24.4% on year, according to the Ministry of Finance (MOF).

Among different categories of Taiwan-made products, electronics had the largest export value of US$8.014 billion in September, slipping 2.0% on month and 9.9% on year.

The total export value of US$212.40 billion and total import value of US$173.84 billion for January-September dropped 9.4% and 16.5% respectively on year.
