Zimmer Spine Announced The Introduction of New Instrument Set

Zimmer Spine, a division of Zimmer Holdings, has announced the introduction of Viewline tube retraction system, Viewline retractor system, and Viewline posterior MIS instrument set.

This instrument set will facilitate exposure, retraction, decompression and disc preparation during minimally invasive (MIS) transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF)/posterior lumbar interbody fusion (PLIF)/posterior lumbar fusion (PLF) and microdiscectomy procedures.

Viewline tube retraction system offers 40mm through 120mm tube length options and three tube diameters for accommodating a range of spinal anatomy.

Viewline retractor system features 120mm blade options with 30 degrees of blade pivoting, as well as two, three or four blades that move independently for maximum customization.

Viewline tube retraction and Viewline retractor systems feature an angled attachment arm to minimize tube profile, a rotating table clamp providing rigid stabilization and a cool light-emitting diode light source to improve visualization while reducing heat exposure during surgery.

Zimmer Spine president Steve Healy noted for the spine surgeon who performs minimally invasive TLIF and PLIF procedures, the Viewline Systems provide comprehensive versatility for MIS posterior access.

"Combined with the PathFinder NXT Minimally Invasive Pedicle Screw System and the TM Ardis Interbody System, these state-of-the-art retractor systems enhance Zimmer Spine's complete, minimally invasive TLIF and PLIF procedural solution," Healy added.

The retraction system offers a comprehensive tube and retractor blade selection for MIS posterior access spine surgery.
