German manufacturer Reiner, along with AMI plans to couple these proprietary inks with handheld inkjet technology.

AMI/Reiner handheld inkjet printers can print on any porous or non-porous surface, comprising those that are irregular shaped or curved.

The AMI/Reiner JetStamps 790MP, 792MP, and Graphic 970 are used to print on metal, glass as well as plastics.

The printers, which are said to use self-traversing printhead technology, in which the ink and printhead are one piece, require no regular maintenance and need just minutes from setup to printing.

With limitless applications, the AMI/Reiner inkjet printers are used in industries including shipping, packaging, beverage, and logistics.

Dates and times, lot numbers, batch numbers, barcodes, logos and expiration dates can be printed using the new machines, the company noted.
