Upcoming Edition of Techtextil to Feature Around 40 Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturer

The upcoming edition of Techtextil, to be held in Frankfurt from June 11 to 13, 2013 will feature around 40 Italian textile machinery manufacturers.

Thirteen of these companies will be exhibiting their knowhow at Meeting Point Italia, an exhibition space set up by the ICE – the Italian Trade Promotion Agency, and ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (Hall 3.0, Stand B08).

The following companies will be exhibiting at the ICE-ACIMIT Meeting Point: BIANCO, BOMBI, BONINO, CORINO, DELL’ORCO, ERREBI, FERRARO, GEMATA, RAMINA, RATTI, SASPE, STALAM, SMIT.

Technical textiles and nonwovens are gaining in importance in the global textile industry. In some advanced countries, technical textiles remain the sole growth driver for local textile manufacturers.

For years now, this booming sector has seen double figure growth rates, and the basis for its development has undoubtedly been innovation, which represents the thread that unites textile companies engaged in this niche market with technology providers.

About 100 Italian textile machinery manufacturers are involved in the production of machinery for technical textiles or nonwovens. This sector is observing a growing turnover, accounting for 20% on the total turnover of Italian textile machinery industry.

In ACIMIT website a section is devoted to technical textiles and nonwovens where visitors can find a club directory including a non exhaustive list of member companies manufacturing machinery for technical textiles and nonwoven fabrics.

ACIMIT represents an industrial sector comprising around 300 companies and 12,200, producing machinery for a value of 2.4 billion euros, with exports amounting to 83% of total sales.
