The Introduction of 2013 Toy Industry Awards

Teksta, John Adams and Bentalls among those honoured at last night's event.

Character Options, LEGO, Hasbro and John Adams were among the winners at last night's 2013 Toy Industry Awards.

Held at the Science Museum in South Kensington, the event was organised by the BTHA and the Toy Retailers Association.

Toy of the Year was awarded to Teksta from Character Options, while Supplier of the Year was given to John Adams.

Other winners included LEGO, which picked up Construction Toy of the Year for LEGO Friends Dolphin Cruiser, and Hasbro, which picked up an award trio for Monopoly Empire (Board Game), Nerf N-Strike (Action) and Furby Boom (Innovative Toy).

Specialist Multiple (up to five stores) - Cuthberts Toys

Specialist Multiple (up to 30 stores) - SMF Toytown

Specialist Multiple (over 30 stores) - Smyths

General Multiple Toy Retailer of the Year - Bentalls (part of Fenwick Group)

Online Toy Retailer of the Year - Shop Direct

Judges' Special Recognition Award - Argos

Overall Toy Retailer of the Year - Bentalls

Collectable Range of the Year - Robofish by Zuru, Geemac

Action Toy - Nerf N-Strike Elite Rapidstrike CS-18, Hasbro

Construction Toy - Friends Dolphin Cruiser, LEGO

Pre-school Toy - Toot Toot Drivers Train Station, VTech

Pre-school Licensed Toy - Doc McStuffins Doctor's Bag Set, Flair

Action Game - Gooey Louie, John Adams

Board Game - Monopoly Empire, Hasbro

Innovative Toy - Furby Boom, Hasbro

Outdoor Toy - Smart Trike, Mookie

Fashion Doll - Monster High 13 Wishes, Mattel

Lifestyle Toy - ChillFactor Squeeze Cup Slushy Maker, Character Options

Supplier of the Year - John Adams

Toy of the Year - Teksta, Character Options
