The latest mobile application from Summit Electric Supply makes it faster to find products on the company's recently enhanced e-commerce website.
With Summit Mobile, electricians can scan product bar codes while they're in the field and quickly find any of the 250,000-plus items available on Summit's website. The site displays each product's real-time pricing and availability at any of Summit's 24 locations. Electricians with a Summit business account can also see account-specific pricing.
"No matter how remote or extensive the project, electricians will save time in the field when they use Summit Mobile," says Sheila Hernandez, Summit's vice president of marketing. "The app integrates seamlessly with Summit's mobile optimized e-commerce site, which gives electricians quick access to the materials they need. With Summit Mobile, users can easily scan product bar codes instead of manually entering long, complex, or confusing part numbers."
One quick bar code scan from Summit Mobile launches directly to that product's detailed information page. Scanned items can be added to a cart for an order, saved to a list, or shared with others. Summit's enhanced e-commerce site is also completely responsive, making it easier to use across multiple platforms, including mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.
Summit Mobile is now available for Android devices 2.3 and up and for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices with iOS 5.0 or later. Users can download for free from Google Play and the App Store
