Dairy firm Almarai has added real-time intelligence to more than 100 packaging lines to increase performance.
The company expanded its Schneider Electric deployment as part of a Smart Manufacturing initiative by implementing Line Performance Suite.
Almarai is adding Line Performance Suite, workflow, MES Operations and Quality Management to its Schneider Electric Manufacturing Execution System (MES) spanning over 100 filling and packaging lines
Schnieder Electric stated that food and beverage manufacturers are now taking up new strategies to digitise operations, simplify production processes and be ‘smarter’ on the manufacturing front.
This is now claimed to be one of the main driving forces behind investment in industrie 4.0 initiatives to better capture and analyse operational data.
Schneider Electric will supply its software to provide real-time intelligence to over 100 packaging lines to increase performance, efficiency and operational agility. The system will deliver end-to-end workflow management and performance gains at scale to improve operational efficiency.
The French automation company claims that by installing its MES system can bring in advantages including streamlined data gathering, increased agility and improved operational efficiency.
