Ford Expands Logistics Cope with Ceva

Ford Motor has expanded its partnership with CEVA Logistics to include a range of additional logistics functions for its assembly plant in Kansas City, Missouri, US.

Under the deal, CEVA will continue to support the F-series truck with supply chain solutions, as it has for over seven years.

The new operations will comprise small lot logistics, returnable container management and transportation to and from the plant as well as the existing activities of sequencing and material control.

The partnership will also see supply chain firm invest in new facility modifications in Liberty, Missouri, as well as add jobs to the Kansas City area to support the automaker.

CEVA vice president of business development and Americas account leader for Ford Kerry Zielinski said, "With the movement of the Ford Escape production to Louisville, CEVA assisted in providing an excellent transition solution as the plant prepares for new models in 2013."
