Lexon Group has installed a Baumann BA2 NE unloader, with a view to streamlining its sheet handling capabilities
Says Garth Davis, managing director: “We are always looking at ways in which we can improve our production throughput, and our sheet cutting process was an area that came to our attention.Having sourced what equipment was available to improve the situation we decided that the Baumann unloader was the solution we were looking for.”
Formed in 1970, the Lexon Group is based at Crumlin, near Newport in Gwent.The company employs around 70 staff and specialises in producing highly finished technical and ‘niche’ products through its in-house printing and finishing facilities. These products include pop-up mailers and other types of presentation merchandise, as well as paper and board laminating.
According to Garth Davis the new Baumann unloader has been working well since its purchase and installation. He says: “The unloader is simple to operate and has so far performed exactly as we had hoped.It is already highlighting how beneficial a good, thoroughly researched purchasing decision can be in improving a company’s overall production efficiency.”
