Four More Online Clothing Retailers Signed Contracts to Add Fits. Me Fitting Room

Four more online clothing retailers – Henri Lloyd, John Smedley, Avenue32 (all UK) and Mexx (Netherlands) – have signed contracts to add Fits.me’s virtual fitting room solutions to their online stores, while Boden (Germany) has agreed to extend to its use of Fits.me’s service.

Heikki Haldre, co-founder and chief executive of Fits.me, said that the new contracts are evidence of continued market evolution while also proving that virtual fitting rooms are not affordable only by ‘global’ brand names. “It is simple fact that retailers are trying to tackle the problem of online fit; the problems it causes cost them a lot of money, yet can be addressed at a cost that gives them terrific return on investment. The names of our newest clients are a gigantic clue that Fits.me delivers cost-effective solutions to the issue for all sizes of retailers, not just ‘big ones’ or household names.

“The success of our technological approach, the accuracy and consistency of our virtual fitting rooms and our ability to prove return on investment have combined to make Fits.me the world’s most commercially successful provider of virtual fitting room solutions,” he added. “You can be sure that retailers look at all their options before making their decision, and they’re choosing Fits.me because they want a genuine ‘fit’ solution.”

Fits.me is presently finalising a mobile edition of its software-as-a-service that will deliver full functionality to smartphones and tablets. An additional mobile application is also in the pipeline. “We intend not just to be the gold standard for virtual fitting rooms,” says Haldre. “It is our intention to set and be the standard for mobile virtual fitting room solutions too. We’re aligned with both the e-commerce objectives of retailers and their mobile strategies.”

In March, Fits.me opened offices in France and Germany to support expansion into Europe. The company has already signed multi-country contracts with Adidas, Hugo Boss and Superdry, announced in January along with L.K.Bennett and Nicole Farhi. The company’s client roster also includes Barbour By Mail, Ermenegildo Zegna, Hawes & Curtis, Otto, Pretty Green and Thomas Pink.

In February, the company launched a new version of its flagship, photo-accurate Fits.me Virtual Fitting Room service and announced its brand new Fit Advisor recommendation engine. Fit Advisor is a complementary service to the Fits.me Virtual Fitting Room, enabling retailers to provide customers with fit recommendations and fit information without the need for extensive photography.
