Revere Packaging Purchases Plastic Package

Revere Packaging has acquired custom trays and container manufacturer Plastic Package for an undisclosed sum.

The combined business will be headquartered in Shelbyville in the state of Kentucky. It will meet the current and future food packaging demand,  including growth in functional and custom packaging.

The acquisition will enable to integrate industry executives, implementation of technologies, and provide better services to customers.

The combined company will provide a range of products from Hawaii, California, Indiana and Kentucky.

Revere and Plastic Package said they remain committed to sustainability and food safety.  The purchase of recycled raw materials and production of fully-recyclable plastic and aluminum packaging will allow the company to preserve the environment for future generations.

Revere Packaging CEO David Watts said: “With more than 150 employees and over $40 million in annual revenues, the newly-combined entity will more than double the size of sales, employees, and manufacturing capacity. This will translate to shorter lead times, faster delivery, and the availability of a broader product mix for our customers.”

Plastic Package, headquartered in Sacramento, California, serves the bakery, confectionery, pre-packaged meals and school nutrition markets.

The firm is monitored by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), an independent quality auditor, every year.
