LEGO and NASA Partner on New Kids' Activity Programme Mission to Space

A new interactive programme, Mission to Space is an online summer activity pack that encourages youngsters to explore space through a series of online building challenges.

LEGO is marking a new chapter in its ongoing relationship with NASA with the launch of a new initiative, Mission to Space.

A new interactive programme, Mission to Space is an online summer activity pack that encourages youngsters to explore space through a series of online building challenges.

Destinations on their journey through space and themed builds include the International Space Station, Mars and Jupiter.

Online content will include videos showing daily life aboard the international space station, games, quizzes and an interview with Andreas Mogensen, Denmark’s first astronaut.

The new interactive programme follows the recent unveiling of the Apollo 11 LEGO Ideas set.

A statement from NASA, read: ‘NASA and LEGO have worked together to produce a fun and engaging online summer activity.

‘Mission to Space takes kids on a journey through space with visits to the International Space Station, Mars and Jupiter and gives kids a chance to make their own space creations through an online building challenge.

‘NASA research in the four topic areas is essential to humanity’s continuing journey of exploration.’
