Standard Apparel Announces The Addition to Its Showroom of Heritage Denim Brand Lee101 USA

Standard Apparel is proud to announce the addition to its showroom of heritage denim brand Lee 101 USA, and UK based luxury slipper and accessory brand Ruby + Ed.

Standard Apparel will be the Canadian sales representatives for the never seen in Canada Lee 101 USA denim line. With four fits, and multiple washes the collection will be available to Canadian retailers effective immediately. Born in 1889, the H.D. LEE Mercantile Company was known for functional work wear, drygoods supply and dungarees.

Lee 101 defines American heritage and exemplifies seamless form and function.  Hand made in the USA, Even the leather patches are made on original Lee equipment utilizing hides from the stockyards of Kansas. Each patch is unique and different from one another, giving the owner a one-of-a-kind collectible Lee 101 jean.

From Farm to Thread Lee 101 is proud of its unique vertical integration, which allows us to literally put the face of a cotton farmer on our American-made jeans. Every bale of cotton used to make a pair of our jeans can be traced back to the farm where the cotton was grown. Lee 101 has partnered American Cotton Growers to track each bale as it moves through the manufacturing process from yarn production, to weaving, to manufacturing and finally to packing and shipping.

In addition Standard Apparel will exclusively distribute the London-based slipper and accessories brand Ruby & Ed to retailers in North America. Starting in FW14, fashionable, luxury comfort seeking Canadians will be able to pick up pieces from Ruby + Ed’s collections at their favourite stores.

“I know Canadians have been waiting for Lee 101 USA to make it’s triumphant return – and we are thrilled about bringing this brand to Canadians. Lee creates hand-made, heritage style denim, that is available in four fits, and a variety of washes for men,” said Jeremy Logan, President of Standard Apparel.

“A favourite of Sienna Miller’s, Ruby + Ed will finally be available in Canada. We’re so excited about this line of home & outerwear which includes slippers, faux fur jackets, vests, mitts and scarves”.

Ruby+Ed began in 2001 serving a niche market by creating beautifully made ladies slippers that stand out from the generic mass-produced styles available. Gradually the brand has expanded into ladies clothing and accessories, and now also offers accessories for men and kids.

The brand has developed into an overall lifestyle brand that embraces a passion for more bespoke and considered pieces. Today Ruby & Ed is sold in over 400 independent boutiques, department stores and luxury retailers internationally, including Holt Renfrew, Harvey Nichols, Liberty, Harrods and Selfridges.
