Rexam will produce new 330ml sleek aluminum can for India-based Silver Ice Beverages' RIO-Fusion Drinks, fruit flavored carbonated beverage.
Rexam India is producing the can at its Taloja plant, where a new aluminum line was opened in November 2012.
Silver Ice Beverages sales and marketing director Rahul Sangoi said the company has developed a relationship with Rexam over the last three years, packagingeurope.com reported.
"Their team approached us with a design proposal and worked closely with the Silver Ice Beverages to create a new look brand that is both youthful and full of energy," Sangoi added.
Earlier RIO-Fusion Drinks were available in glass bottles and the move to the new aluminum cans will be supported by a new website and regional initiatives where the sustainability benefits of the can will be promoted.
