KappAhl's Fashion Is Inspired by Different Types of City Styles with Modern Expression

KappAhl’s Autumn Collection Inspired by City Styles

This autumn, KappAhl’s fashion for women has been inspired by different types of city styles with modern expression at the heart.

Modern classics, nostalgic feminine and cosy knits are some of this autumn’s most important features throughout the entire women’s collection.

We are taking favourites from previous seasons, like the down jacket in genuine down, five-pocket jeans and the graphic pattern, with us into the new season, now featuring rejuvenated models in beautiful autumnal colours.

As late summer turns to autumn, we turn to modern classics that include everything from sheer blouses, feminine dresses and calf length smart trousers. We retain the floral print and stripes from summer fashion, but now in more earthy tones.

The female form is highlighted through figure-hugging dresses and tight pencil skirts. Thinner cardigans are a clear favourite and appear as fine-knit variants in angora and cashmere mixes.

A spring favourite, the down jacket, survives and appears this autumn in rejuvenated variants exuding a city chic look. The down jacket becomes the exemplary transitional jacket between seasons and keeps you warm well into the winter.

Parts of the women’s department offer a number of different yarns and knits. Cable knitted, pattern knitted or ribbed, it is up to the wearer to choose. The style is stripped down and cosy and has been inspired by the barren winter landscape.

The voluminous tops with the tight bottoms set the tone for the silhouette. Hard and soft materials are also combined to highlight each other's advantages. The colour scheme is dominated by cool neutrals that blend into different shades of beige and grey, black and white.

For a more feminine style, we focused upon a transparent and nostalgic look. Sheer a-line shaped blouses are matched together with romantic thin knit sweaters with soft lines. Elements of flowers and other soft patterns enhance the feminine sense of style.

The garments are used in layers to create a dreamy feel. The colour scheme is of muted pastel tones with white and powder pink but with room for metallics.

KappAhl’s denim collection, 1953, offers a wide selection of both basic models and seasonal jeans that can be easily combined together with the different styles found in the women’s department throughout autumn 2013.
