Centro Seta Extends Offerings with First Complete Collection of New Generation Silks

Centro Seta, the Florentine textile maker, has come up with a sustainably produced new generation of Autumn/Winter 2015-2016 silk fabric range made exclusively in Italy entitled Bacx.

A result of innovative sustainable technological research, processes and solutions, the easy-to-care silk fabrics offer total traceable transparency inclusive of all processes, right from the raw materials and dyeing process to the finished products.

Based on a vivid colour palette, the line’s GreenFiber range is made from a new silk yarn obtained from the recycled production wastes while the high-tech eco-silk collection Newlife is a highly innovative product that integrates the elegance of traditional silk with the practical versatility of Newlife next-generation threads derived from post-consumer bottles that are collected and transformed into a polymer and subsequently worked into a thread through an avant-garde mechanical method.

While speaking about the collection, Centro Seta’s Roberto Bacci says, “Everything is Made in Italy with the character, appeal and style that distinguishes Italian culture and Centro Seta’s quest for beauty with style. Innovating today means being able to do so responsibly without giving up anything.”

“In fact, the key word here is “integration.” The transparent traceability of Bacx begins at the source- the raw materials- and crosses all the production process all the way to the finished product,” he adds.

Bacci also spoke about the firm, “Centro Seta’s 30 year history and the feedback of our satisfied clients from around the world are the best testimony of our investments in quality, product innovation, creativity and customer service.”

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified range is available at the international eco-platform that showcases the largest library of eco-materials and eco-sensible yarns for fashion, decoration and design C.L.A.S.S. (PB)
