The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) has stated that in June this year the aggregate automobile output in China totaled 1,674,200 vehicles, down 5.97 percent month on month and up 9.33 percent on year-on-year basis. In the given month, overall automobile sales in China amounted to 1,754,100 units, decreasing by 0.42 percent compared to May but increasing by 11.19 percent year on year.
In June this year, the total passenger car output in China amounted to 1,362,600 vehicles, up 8.24 percent on year-on-year basis and down 4.02 percent month on month, while sales of passenger cars in China totaled 1,403,500 vehicles, up 9.29 percent on year-on-year basis and up 0.47 percent month on month.
Also in June this year, the aggregate commercial vehicle output in China totaled 311,600 vehicles, up 14.36 percent on year-on-year basis and down 13.64 percent month on month, while sales of commercial vehicles in China totaled 350,600 vehicles, up 19.53 percent on year-on-year basis and down 3.85 percent month on month.
In the first half of this year, aggregate automobile output in China reached 10,751,700 vehicles, up 12.83 percent compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, in the given period, the overall automobile sales volume in the country rose by 12.34 percent year on year to 10,782,200 units.
In the given period, outputs of passenger cars and commercial vehicles were 8,664,500 units and 2,087,200 units, up 14.02 percent and 8.15 percent, both year on year. Sales of passenger cars in the first half rose 13.81 percent year on year to 8,665,100 units, while sales of commercial vehicles increased 6.68 percent year on year to 2,117,100 units.
In the January-June period of the current year, the aggregate automobile exports of China reached 486,800 vehicles, down 0.6 percent compared to the same period last year, including 294,300 passenger cars and 192,500 commercial vehicles, up 2.3 percent and down 4.8 percent respectively, both year on year.
In the January-May period of this year, China's aggregate automobile product export value amounted to $30.518 billion, up 4.6 percent compared to the same period last year, while China's aggregate automobile import value in the given period totaled $30.458 billion, down 12.3 percent year on year. In the January-May period of this year, China's aggregate automobile imports totaled 423,900 vehicles, down 17.1 percent year on year.
