Nampak Plastics Introduces Recyclable Plastic Milk Bottle Into Uk's Convenience Sector

Nampak Plastics has announced the launch of the new recyclable 1.5l plastic milk bottle into the UK’s convenience sector, as part of a joint project with Muller Wiseman Dairies.

The 1.5l version of Nampak's Infini bottle is said to contain 15% recycled high density polyethylene (rHDPE).

Nampak Plastics managing director Eric Collins said the bottle is the newest addition to the Infini range, to go alongside the other imperial and metric sizes.

"It's also the latest in the long line of exciting developments for Infini and there are many more to come," Collins said.

According to Nampak, the lightweight bottle weighs only 26g and follows the company's Infini design principles. It offers a new choice between a two pint and two-liters to the consumers.

Recently, the South African packaging company had created the lightest four-pint HDPE bottle at 32g and also introduced 30% rHDPE into a milk bottle.
