Spain's Desigual Announced That in 2014 The Firm Expects to Reach a Turnover of €1bn

Spanish casual clothing brand Desigual has announced that in 2014 the firm expects to reach a turnover of €1billion, with ambitions to be listed in the Top 100 companies in Spain.

Manel Jadraque, CEO of Desigual, said at a recent event that in the last decade the clothing firm has grown from annual sales of €12 million in 2003 to €818 million in 2013, indicating a growth of 17 percent and the company forecasts to continue growing in 2014 and reach €1billion million turnover registering a growth of 22 percent, reports modaes.es.

According to the CEO, in the coming ten years, fashion market will double worldwide, which provides space for 20 more companies like Inditex’s fast fashion brand Zara.

If Desigual does well in the market, there is potential for great future and greater possibilities, he added.

The Spanish clothing firm founded by Thomas Meyer, is currently present in 109 countries including countries like Denmark, the Dominican Republic, Egypt, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Kuwait and Lebanon with 13,000 points of sale, 350 of which are owned stores.

Desigual offers menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, and accessories. The Spanish firm, with its headquarters in Barcelona, currently employs 4,000 people.
