Bosch Packaging Technology Is Set to Introduce Its New Elematic 3001 Case Packer

Bosch Packaging Technology is set to introduce its new Elematic 3001 case packer at FachPack 2013 taking place from 24 to 26 September in Nuremberg, Germany.

The Elematic 3001 has an ergonomic design with a lowered carton magazine and enables manufacturers benefit from an easier and safer operation of the machine.

Bosch Packaging Systems, a Bosch Packaging Technology company, head of product management, innovation and technology Bernhard Vaihinger said manufacturers have to consider strict legal requirements that are affecting packaging machinery design in terms of ergonomics and hygiene.

"At the same time, they cannot sacrifice productivity. Our new development enables manufacturers to achieve both," Vaihinger added.

The new case packer has the capacity to handle various pack styles, including tray, classic full wrap-around and two-part, shelf-ready packaging.

According to the company, with the Elematic 3001, easy and tool-less packaging format changeovers are realized due to the availability of 'click-system'. When parts lock into place a sound indicates the completion of format changeover.

Bosch improved the machine's hygienic design by giving an open design to the frame and used corrosion-resistant materials, such as stainless steel, anodized aluminum or brass. Horizontal surfaces and corners have been removed.

The company integrated the control cabinet on board, which speeds up installation time at the customer's plant to cut down the footprint of the machine further.
