Volkswagen Passenger Cars Increased Deliveries Region by 25.5% to 563,000 Units

Volkswagen Passenger Cars has reported a 11.5% increase in its deliveries to 504,800 units in November 2012, compared to 453,000 units for the same period in 2011.

From January to November 2012, the company's deliveries rose 11.2% to 5.22 units, compared to 4.69 million vehicles sold for the same period last year.

Volkswagen Passenger Cars increased deliveries in the North America region by 25.5% to 563,000 units, while in South America, deliveries rose by 8.2% to 766,400 units.

In Germany, Volkswagen Passenger Cars handed over 552,200 vehicles to customers in the period to November.

In the Asia-Pacific region, the division grew deliveries by 18% from January to November to 2.12 million units, of which 1.92 million units went to China including Hong Kong.

Volkswagen and the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand board member for sales and marketing Christian Klingler said, "We anticipate a new delivery record for the full year, but also expect next year to be challenging."
