Crystal Group chairman, Kenneth Lo, has won two awards in EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 China (EOY 2014 China), for his significant contributions to the economy and the community.
Kenneth is one of the two country winners (also referred to as overall 2014 China winners) announced from a shortlist of 14 category winners at the gala ceremony in Beijing, China on November 14. He will compete with over 50 national award winners from overseas for the prestigious title of EY World Entrepreneur of the Year (WEOY) next year, in Monte Carlo. He is also the Consumer Products category winner in EOY 2014, China.
Kenneth said, “I’m really glad to have won the awards, it is the highest recognition for me and my team. I think an entrepreneur today has to be a people-oriented leader who treats every employee with care and respect. He is also obliged to make ethical products for the benefits of consumers and shoulder social responsibility for the community and the planet.”
He attributed the success of Crystal Group to three main factors that include globalization strategy, commitment to making ethical products, and people-oriented management approach.
Albert Ng, EY’s China chairman and Greater China managing partner, said he was impressed by the participants’ innovative ideas, creative sales and marketing strategies, and their commitment to giving back to the society by creating jobs and improving living environments.

Judging chairman of EOY 2014 China and former chief executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, Paul Chow said, “The 14 winning Chinese entrepreneurs stood out across six judging benchmarks, and each of the winners has demonstrated a commitment to creating sustainable business through the vision and industry insights the EOY awards aim to celebrate.”
