The Krogerb Is Recalling French Vanilla Ice Cream

The Kroger, a grocery chain in the US, is recalling French Vanilla Ice Cream, which was sold in 11 states across the US, as the product may contain pecans not listed on the label.

People who are allergic to pecans can experience serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the product, the company said.

The product being recalled in Kroger Deluxe French Vanilla Ice Cream sold in 48 fluid ounce cartons with a sell by date of 12 June 2013 under the following UPC Code: 11110 50718.

It was sold at Dillons, Gerbes, Baker's, Fry's, King Soopers, City Market and Smith's stores in the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.

The following stores are not included in this recall: Kroger, Ralphs, Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer and QFC stores.

Kroger has removed affected items from store shelves and initiated its customer recall notification system that alerts customers who may have purchased the product.
