PartnerRe, a provider of reinsurance services, has appointed Egbert Willam to its Board of Directors to serve on it’s Audit and Nominating and Governance Committees, effective from 01 June 2012.
Willam, who is the founder and president of KEN Investments, a private equity company will replace Jurgen Zech following his retirement from the company's Board on 16 May 2012.
PartnerRe Chairman Jean-Paul Montupet said: "His wealth of experience in the reinsurance industry as well as his broader international experience in the financial services industry will be invaluable as PartnerRe looks to further build on its solid track record."
Willam held senior positions in Munich Re and Cologne Re, and was also named the latter's Member of the Executive Board to lead the transition of the group into "General Cologne Re", now known as Gen Re.
Willam currently manages several Advisory and Supervisory Boards of a number of companies including CICSA Reaseguros and Humanitas AG.
PartnerRe, through its wholly owned subsidiaries, offers capital markets products, including weather and credit protection to financial, industrial and service companies.
