Sun Chemical to Unveil Color and Effect Pigments at CAD RETEC 2017

Sun Chemical will be unveiling its new range of colour and effect pigments at the 55th Annual Society of Plastics Engineers Color and Appearance Division’s CAD RETEC technical conference on September 17th.

“At this year’s CAD RETEC technical conference, Sun Chemical hopes to put ‘a new spin on color’ by showcasing our leading colors, effects and dispersions for the plastics industry,” said Scott Heitzman, Business Development Manager-Plastics, Sun Chemical.

“We look forward to showcasing our array of innovative color solutions for the most demanding plastic applications.”

Three Sun Chemical speakers will be presenting during CAD RETEC 2017. The first Sun presentation will be from Senior Color Physicist, Danny Rich, who will deliver his paper Solid State Lighting and Its Impact on Plastics during the Illumination session on Monday September 18 beginning at 3:15 p.m.

Anthony Rohrer, Effect Pigment Product Specialist, will discuss how Sun Chemical puts “A New Spin on Color” through innovation, safety and style on Monday, September 18th at 5 p.m. during the CAD RETEC New Technology Forum.

Michael Willis M.S., Sun Chemical Corporate Technical Manager, Advanced Applications, Plastics Labs will also present his paper, Pigment Crystallinity and Molecular Structure of Some Selected Classical and High Performance Pigment and their Performance in Thermoplastic Applications on Tuesday, September 19th at 3 p.m.

During the conference at booth #311, Sun Chemical Performance Pigments will showcase some of its colors, effects and dispersions for the plastics industry. Using solutions tailor made for each individual customer, Sun Chemical can develop innovative color solutions for the most demanding plastic applications.
