Kapstone Container Aims to Boost Its Business

KapStone Container, a subsidiary of KapStone Paper and Packaging, is planning to boost its business, with an investment of $4.5m.

The company is also adding 30 new jobs, with the entire project to include upgrades to the facility and equipment that will enable it to increase production to satisfy customer demand and take on new contracts.

KapStone Container, a subsidiary of KapStone Paper and Packaging Corporation that manufactures paper packaging containers, currently employs 112 full-time workers at its Bowling Green facility in Stanford, US. It also has facilities in Somerset and Lawrenceburg.

The expansion plans in Warren County were announced by Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear. Beshear also announced an expansion at a metal stamping manufacturer in Stanford, with an investment of $400,000.

An additional 20 jobs are being added in the Lincoln Manufacturing plant and a third shift to its operations in Lincoln County.
