AIP Recognizes Four Packaging Technologists

Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) has recognized four packaging technologists for significant contribution to their specific packaging field at the 2012 National Conference, in addition to the Founders award.

The Founders Award has only been awarded six times in the last 50 years and is presented to those who enhance the profession of packaging technology, reported foodprocessing.com.au.

The latest receiver of the AIP Founders Award is Llewelyn Stephens, FAIP, Senior Packaging Technologist, LION for significant contribution to the promotion and application of packaging technology and education in industry.

Life Membership of the AIP is designed to recognize those long-standing members who have volunteered their time and passion to the continued growth of the institute.

The grade of Fellow is the highest professional recognition awarded to AIP Members by their peers and is designed to recognize the significant and sustained contribution, while Life Members are those who strive to serve voluntarily.

Two technologists were promoted to the next level at the meet, which included SPC Ardmona senior packaging technologist Roya Khalil and Visy Technology Paper & Board laboratory manager Nola Portreus.
