Saffron Road Plans to Cater to The Increasing Demand for Indian Cuisine in The US

Saffron Road, a packaged food brand owned by American Halal, plans to introduce non-GMO verified frozen entree, Chana Saag with Cumin Rice, as part of its efforts to cater to the increasing demand for Indian cuisine in the US.

Chana Saag will feature organic chickpeas and leafy fresh spinach spiced and sautéed with Indian herbs served with cumin rice.

The company noted that the new product is non-GMO verified, all natural, gluten free, vegetarian and halal certified. The new entree will be available at Whole Foods Market stores across the US and will be priced between $5.49 and $5.99.

The company's World Cuisine frozen entrees include Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Pad Thai, Lemongrass Basil, Chicken Biryani, Lamb Saag, Lamb Vindaloo, Lamb Koftis, Moroccan Lamb Stew, Manchurian Dumplings, Three Cheese Lasagna, Thai Basil Chili Tofu and Macaroni & Cheese.

American Halal produces all natural halal certified food under the Saffron Road brand.
