AIM Board Emphasized Their Commitment to The Continued Growth of The Industry

As AIM, the industry association and worldwide authority on barcode, RFID, RTLS and mobile computing, celebrates its 40th anniversary year, AIM’s Board of Directors recently emphasized their commitment to the continued growth of the industry and its members around the globe by adopting mission and vision statements which best address AIM’s current industry standing and future opportunities.

In 2012, AIM convened an international task force of executives who represented AIDC industry leaders, including Motorola Solutions, BlueStar, CDO Technologies, BloodCenter of Wisconsin, FLEXcon, Evanhoe & Associates, Inc., and Zebra Technologies.

Through their work, AIM’s Mission Statement – As the unbiased resource for networking, education, advocacy and standards, AIM will help its members grow their businesses by fostering the effective use of Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) solutions – was chosen.

Following an extensive strategic planning process and the recommendations of the task force, the Boards representing both AIM, Inc. and AIM North America also adopted an enhanced Vision Statement – Advancing the effective use of automatic identification and data capture – to provide opportunities within the industry dedicated to new innovations and technologies that affect the global marketplace.

"At AIM, we know that both existing and future AIDC technologies will enable significant return on investment and real value for global enterprises as they pursue business process improvements that impact the bottom line, no matter the vertical market,” said Chuck Evanhoe, AIM Inc., Chairman and President of Evanhoe & Associates, Inc. "It was our intention to show that AIM is poised to adapt to the ever-changing needs of our members and the industry.”
