In June This Year The Country's Crude Steel Production Was Down 1.1 Percent

According to the report released by Argentina's steel chamber, in June this year the country's crude steel production was down 1.1 percentmonth on month and increased by 14.6 percent year on year, amounting to 477,400 metric tons. Production in the first half of the current year totaled 2.70 million metric tons, 12.2 percent higher compared with the same period of 2013.

In June this year, Argentina's production of hot rolled steel amounted to 419,400 metric tons, down 3.8 percent month on month and decreasing by 4.1 percent compared to June 2013. In the first half of this year, the country's hot rolled steel production totaled 2.51 million metric tons, decreasing 1.3 percent compared to the same period of 2013.

In June of the current year, Argentina's cold rolled flat steel production increased by 5.5 percent month on month and declined by 0.3 percent year on year to 121,700 metric tons, while output decreased by 5.3 percent year on year to 711,700 metric tons in the first half of this year.
