Bosch Packaging Technology will present several new technologies for the food, confectionery and pharmaceutical industries at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2013, taking place from September 23 to 25.
Bosch will showcase the new Pack 101 horizontal flow wrapper, which is claimed to cut down product and film waste during operation. It features an all-servo-motor design that has the flexibility to facilitate easy setup and changeovers.
A new vertical form, fill and seal (VFFS) machine SVI 2600 will also be on display at the show, which has been designed for growing confectionery, snack, grains, and other manufacturers.
Available with options such as hole punch and gas flushing, the motion bagger has the capacity to produce pillow, gusseted and block bottom bags at rates of up to 120 bags per minute.
Bosch Packaging Technology product and marketing manager Paul Garms said, "Our new entry-level packaging solutions allow Bosch to serve small- to midsized businesses to help them reach their production goals and growth targets."
Bosch will also present a continuous-motion vertical bagger SVE 2520, upgraded with new Allen-Bradley (AB) controls. The bagger also features the company's standard human machine interface (HMI) layout with intuitive icon-based navigation.
The company will offer the new AB controls option across its full SVE VFFS product line eventually.
At the event, Bosh will also exhibit a new case packer, the CCM 3100, which has been designed to easily integrate with VFFS machines.
The machine features a flexible design capable of three-dimensional changeovers between both horizontal (lay flat) and vertical (stand-up) bag presentations in a short span of time.
In order to ensure that manufacturers will be able to meet current and future needs with minimal additional investment, the CCM can handle various bag and case sizes.
