Two Canadian Breweries Select Petainer's Keg System

Canadian breweries Muskoka and Le Trou du Diable have selected UK-based Petainer’s keg system in order to improve filling and handling performance.

With advanced external casing, the petainerKeg Linestar is a keg system that will run on most steel keg filling lines.

The one-way PET keg is a lightweight, stackable and ergonomically designed system, which provides 2,800cm² of space for branding opportunities. It also offers all the benefits of the classic petainerKeg.

Petainer will showcase the new keg system at 2017 CBC event in Washington, D.C, which will be held from 11 to 13 April.

Petainer’s Group commercial director Annemieke Hartman-Jemmett said: “We developed Linestar to provide breweries with a seamless transition from steel to PET kegs without the need for a bespoke filling system.

“It allows breweries to use spare capacity on existing steel keg lines and enables our customers to enter new markets thanks to its superior logistical performance.”

Muskoka Brewery supply chain manager Brian Eyers said: “Petainer’s Linestar has provided us with an easy-to-use and cost-effective solution for exporting our beer across Canada and into the USA.”

Petainer is engaged in the development and marketing of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) food and beverage containers.

The company operates production facilities in Sweden and the Czech Republic, blowing facilities in North America, Russia, India and Australia. It also has sales offices in Sweden, the Czech Republic, Germany, the USA, Canada and UK.
