Lindor Machine Fabrieken BV Has Built a Special Heated Mixer for Buss AG

Lindor Machine fabrieken BV, the Dutch maker of mixing equipment, has built a special heated mixer for Buss AG, which manufactures kneaders for plastics compounding. The heated mixer is used to enhance properties of special compounds that are produced on Buss compounding lines in several countries, including China, Spain, Saudi Arabia and India. While compounding special high and low density polyethylene compounds, the Lindor mixer with a heated mixing drum is used to soak the granulate with a special liquid. Also, while mixing, the heated liquid is sprayed onto the granulate. Buss is based in Pratteln, Switzerland. The mixer for Buss in China is a Lindor L4000HC, custom built with a water-heated mixing drum, water-heated injection land and special contactless seals. The heated drum ensures that the material keeps a stable temperature during the soaking and conversion process. Hot water flowing through the double drum wall heats the product. The injection lance, used to dose the liquid—in this case, peroxide—is also jacketed and heated with warm water. The peroxide is solid when cold, so the heated lance keeps it in liquid form. Lindor is based in Dordrecht, the Netherlands. Source: plasticsnews
