APEC Has Organized The 'India Market Days' at Apparel House

India Market Days is a project approved by Ministry of Textiles and is funded under the Market Access Initiative (MAI) Scheme of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India for inviting overseas buyers and buying agents under Reverse BSM.

Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) an apex body of Indian apparel exporters has organized the ‘India Market Days’ at Apparel House, Gurgaon, its world class venue for the business of fashion from 18th to 19thJuly 2013.

Shri H K L Magu in his inaugural address welcomed the buyers and said, “The event will help the garment exporters find the right partners for their business. Through Apparel House, we have provided them with the well spaced showrooms wherein they can interact and negotiate good business.”

Market Days is one of the endeavors for AEPC’s export promotion initiatives for the year 2013, wherein we are hopeful that the apparel exporters will generate good business deals with buyers from the continent countries, he added.

Chairman AEPC Dr. A Sakthivel in his statement stated that, “AEPC by organizing India Market Days, is once again ready to provide an opportunity and a platform where wonderful products are displayed in the showrooms.  Buyers’ may like to avail this opportunity to choose from the wide spectrum of products at one place. This Fair will help you develop your creative collection and augment your resources.”

India Market days will provide an opportunity to analyze and choose, from the wide spectrum of existing and emerging products at one place, analyze prevailing rates in the market, finalise bulk requirements and negotiate best rates for bulk orders.

In order to boost Indian exports of garments and fashion accessories, more than 100 show-room holders are going to exhibit their latest collections to buyers from countries like Greece, Australia, Botswana, South Africa, Ecuador and USA. Some of the leading buying agents will be visiting India Market Days.

Exhibitors/ showroom holders are from cities like Jaipur, Gurgaon, Noida, New Delhi, Ludhiana etc. Buyers from Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc visited the India Market Days fair. The few important companies participating in this edition are: ATM Exports, EKTA Creations, B. N Exports, Crafts overseas, Cactus, Lustre Impex, WGS international, Maharana of India, Alina Exportsm Bag Makers, Nandeetas, Sandhya overseas, etc.

Apparel exports touched of US $ 1240 million in June 2013-14 with increase of 12.13 per cent against the corresponding month of last financial year. Factory compliant manufacturing in India has surged with new and unprecedented export orders in the current season.  World renounced chain stores and international brands have preferred expanding their sourcing of the merchandise from India.
