IPC Makers Are Looking to Potential Orders Arising From The Replacement of Such Equipment

As the life-cycles of gambling machines are decreasing due to increasing competition among casinos, Taiwan-based industrial PC (IPC) makers, including Advantech, IEI Integration, Ibase Technology, Axiomtek, Firich Enterprise and Astro, are looking to potential orders arising from the replacement of such equipment, according to industry sources.

While the PC industry is seeing weakening demand, the global gambling industry continues to see around 30% growth per year, the sources noted.

Most IPC players are now treating their gambling businesses as major revenue contributors and placing more resources onto related R&D.
