Columbine Label Invests In Digital Press Equipment To Boost Label Printing Capability

US based Columbine Label has acquired an HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Press, expanding its label and package printing options for customers.

The firm expected the latest addition to more than double its current capacity while increasing print speed, overall quality and significantly improved technology.

The HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Pres is also expected to complement Columbine Label's Flexographic label capabilities, offering expanded options for customer base.

Additionally, the new digital press equipment will allow Columbine Label more versatility in handling additional for shorter run digital presses, competing with medium to longer Flexo runs.

Columbine Label president Greg Jackson said: "HP has been a great partner for us since entering the Digital Printing arena over five years ago.

"We are already familiar with this technology, so our learning curve with this equipment will be much shorter.

"The press is certified as CO2 neutral. Coupled with the substantial reduction in waste generated through general operations, this really fit well with our work to become a more environmentally responsible producer."

Columbine Label is a supplier of labels including printed labels, adhesive labels, tags, flexible packaging and custom stickers for food and beverage, beauty products, and a wide range of other industries.
