Germany's Crude Steel Output Decreased by 2.9% Month on Month in February This Year

In February this year, Germany's crude steel output decreased by 2.9 percent month on month to 3.56 million metric tons, rising by 4.2 percent compared to February 2013, according to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl). Meanwhile, in the first two months of current year, the country's crude steel output increased by 3.2 percent year on year to 7.23 million metric tons.

On the other hand, in January this year, Germany's total hot rolled steel product output amounted to 3.023 million metric tons, indicating an increase of 2.3 percent, including 2.008 million metric tons of flat steel products - up 2.3 percent, and 1.015 million metric tons of long steel products - up 2.5 percent, all on-year-on year basis.
