Porsche Has Issued a Recall for 455 Units of GT3 Sports Cars

German sports car manufacturer Porsche has issued a recall for 455 units of GT3 Sports cars due to a problem in the rear wheel hub.

The recall is made for all the mentioned model cars made during the period from 15 May 2009 to 11 Feb 2010.

The problem is reported to be in the cars' rear wheel hubs which may fail in case some driving situations leading to accidents.

The company claimed that its original suggested maintenance intervals for the affected parts might not be able to solve the problem in the car's wheel-hub.

The recall is scheduled to start in late December 2012.

In February 2012, the company had recalled about 102,000 of its Cayenne SUVs worldwide which were built between March 2010 and January 2012 to fix a potential problem with the headlights.
