Manufacturer and distributor of beverages Nestlé Waters Canada has launched its Perrier brand sparkling natural spring water in a new one liter polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle.
The company's Perriern water is now available in four sugar-free, zero-calorie flavors including lemon, lime, pink grapefruit and original in recyclable bottles of sizes 250ml (aluminum), 330ml (glass), 500ml (PET) and one liter (PET).
According to the company, the 750ml glass bottle will be discontinued in the next few months.
Nestlé Waters Canada international brands marketing manager Jennifer Semley-Robert said the new bottle has been designed by taking environmental sustainability into consideration.
"Incorporating the classic Perrier branding, look and feel known around the world, the new packaging will be a sleek addition to any setting, whether dining or entertaining," Semley-Robert added.
The bottle consists of two layers of PET plastic, sandwiching a layer of nylon called MXD-6 PET that is said to retain the quality of freshness and preserve the naturally carbonated bubbles.
Perrier one liter sparkling natural spring water is available at retailers, convenience stores as well as restaurateurs throughout Canada.
