Albini Will Inspire Shirtmakers,Specialised Tailors

Italy: Albini's A/W 2013-14 Trends to Inspire Shirtmakers

Albini Group presents A/W 2013-14 trends.Albini,Thomas Mason,David&John Anderson and Albiate 1830 present suggestions of colours, yarns, bases, prints, patterns for fabrics that will inspire shirtmakers, specialised tailors and fashion designers for Autumn-Winter 2013-14.

Cotonificio Albini:a collection on the move

Yarns, textures and finishes are the key to a collection of fabrics'on the move'.Slub yarn, irregular touch,mélange, mouliné,nubby, wool and silk mélange, give life to fabrics moved in touch and sight. The insertion of yarns with more body within lightweight bases creates fabrics with more texture.Flannel and velvet are subjected to faded finishes and treatments, for an irregular effect, not homogeneous.'Flanellino',the new flannel in linen, offers a luxury version of the fabric ideal for sport shirts.Smooth bases are interspersed with dobby, for an effect of three-dimensional movement.

Through various styles,Classic,Informalist,Sport and Urban, the colours range from classic tailored black, navy, light blue, brightened by mélange shades,to the colours of the English Autumn–Bordeaux, saffron, brown, tobacco, the palette of camouflage, from pastel sugar paper, purple, crimson, mustard, periwinkle, until the absolute dark ebony, purple, petrol, gunmetal.

The theme of'drapery',with designs commonly used on jackets,is also proposed in the fabric for shirts both in classical and in sports.

The sophisticated Piuminofeeling, fabric made of yarn 100/1-120/1 of Giza 87-the fine Egyptian cotton, grown exclusively in particular climatic conditions along the Nile and the fertile region of its Delta, very silky to the touch and immutable-preserves its iconic status of the most classic and sought after fabric of Cotonificio Albini.

Thomas Mason:freedom in Colour
Single colour, multicolour, tartan:these are the themes around which the collection with the DNA 100%British Thomas Mason has been developed. The lowest common denominator, the colour becomes the true language of expression of the brand. Each collection of Thomas Mason reveals new bases, themes and patterns in the largest possible number of colour options, for the pleasure of its connoisseurs who love windowpane checks, chalk stripes, asymmetric Prince of Wales checks and Scottish tartan.

The monochromatic theme develops through fancy English classics(micro-stripes or Bengal stripes, large or small checks and Prince of Wales)interpreted on an infinite chromatic scale, from vibrant colours(such as yellow, green and purple),pastel, greyed off and colonial colours giving rise to fabrics which sometimes become more precious with the use of cashmere.

The same colours are understood in multicolour, following unconventional asymmetric architectures for whether for stripes or checks. Each version is'one-of-a-kind',intended to delight of the most eccentric Englishman.
The classic colours of the tartan-red,blue,brown,green and grey are made in regimental versions with smaller checks on cotton bases, while on the flannel bases the checks are more open, expressing a sporting flavour/a perfect country-club style.

David&John Anderson:
"I have the SIMPLEST tastes.I am always satisfied with the BEST"-Oscar Wilde

The highest perfection in shirting fabrics.A technological service for tailoring. The most famous Scottish shirt brand, acquired by Albini Group in 1992,is the highest level interpreter of the Albini Group.Fabrics made with superfine yarns, made from the finest cotton and linen in the world such as Cullinan 300/2,the fabric made with the prized Giza 45,the finest cotton in the world in the 300/2 yarn count, and Millennium Star in 330/3,the most precious cotton fabric ever created,in which the processing in the triple twisted confers exceptional strength.

Albiate 1830:denim and jacquard couture
Albiate presents denim fabrics and bespoke jacquards, which are ideal for top of the range sportswear. This season Albiate offers colourful denim, besides the indigo blue there are red,green,blue/black and brown sporty designs, with more sophisticated designs alternating with prints and jacquard.

In particular, the research for Albiate in yarn-dyed indigo has allowed them to develop new bases with a variety of structures and weights ranging from classic shirting fabrics right up to outerwear weights.

Bases in classic denim, where a broad proposal is available from service program, sit together with new bases in stretch poplin and twills treated as flannels, also in lighter weights which are more sophisticated than typical winter fabrics.

The stylistic research of Albiate has resulted in jacquard patterns with indigo macro and micro-themed designs and geometric designs that alternate with fancy fil-coupes which stand out in a very detailed proposal.

Small floral prints and typical tie-foulard micro designs make for a sophisticated denim proposal that it is ideal for a more refined shirt. For the curious, some fabrics also feature a printed interior for a reversible effect.

Transverse and particularly innovative research on denim yarn using a yarn printed in grey/blue yarn or sometimes irregular uneven yarns(exclusive to Albiate),developments on the indigo yarn moulinéand with nepps,to create brand new effects in the denim world.

Fabrics intended for womenswear include indigo with a Tencel weft:this cellulose fibre woven together with indigo gives an unprecedented lustre for this type of fabric, softening it,making it more elegant and perfect for feminine creations.

Natural Stretch, the stretch fabric which is exclusively 100%natural,free of elastomers and totally hypoallergenic,is interpreted on panama, plain weave and twill constructions.

Today, the company is under the guidance of the fifth generation of the founder family. With four brands and a collection of more than 20,000 fabric variations, able to satisfy all styles, from sporty to the more classic, the Albini Group plays the role of absolute star in international markets.
