Cornell University's New Light Installation Changed Way College Goes See The Cosmos

Cornell University's new light installation by the renowned light artist Leo Villareal, has changed the way these college goes see the cosmos. Just?above the Johnson Museum of Art's Mallin Sculpture Court on Cornell's campus, there lies an out of this world light installation featuring?12,000 energy-efficient LEDs lights.

Cornell University Welcomes The Cosmos Via 12, 000 LED Lights

Villareal's Cosmos?installation took nearly two years to finish and is now open to the public until September 29, 2013.??This project site was specifically chosen because of its high visibility on Cornell's campus, from various parts of West Hill and the downtown area.

Each LED was individually programmed and wired by Villareal using his own computer software, this has allowed for each LED to illuminate with various formations and shapes. For more information or to plan your visit to the Cosmos visit: Cornell
