The Emerald City Is Coming to The Winter Las Vegas Market

LAS VEGAS — The Emerald City is coming to the winter Las Vegas Market, according to market officials.

Las Vegas Product Showcase to Feature Pantone's Top Colors

The Ice stool from Phillips Collection, featuring tree roots filled with glass and resin, will be shown in the Road to Emerald exhibit.

In a partnership with Houzz, an online design platform, and Pantone, a provider of color systems and technology, representatives from International Market Centers are presenting the "Road to Emerald," a showcase of products from current and future Las Vegas Market tenants that feature Pantone's recent "color of the year" selections - Emerald, Tangerine Tango and Honeysuckle.

The exhibit will be in a "flagship location" on the first floor of Building C, officials said.

"We wanted to create a visually striking, merchandised window display that represents the ‘total home' product offering available at Las Vegas Market, plus a dazzling Emerald City right here in Las Vegas is a natural," said Dana Andrew, vice president of global marketing and communications of IMC. "From furniture and accessories to gifts and tabletop, our Road to Emerald mixes on-trend products with impactful colors that continue to bring excitement to home and gift stores."

Featured products for the Road to Emerald include a light fixture by Mary McDonald for Robert Abbey; chairs and tables from Julian Chichester and Mr. Brown; a vanity table and chair from Christopher Guy; a lingerie swivel chest and faux sheepskin bench from AICO; a dining table from Stanley Furniture decorated with an Alessi tabletop presentation; wall décor from the Barry Dixon Collection by Arteriors; a rug from the Genevieve Gorder collection by Capel; and accents from Phillips Collection.

The selection of emerald green represents a "sense of renewal," Andrew said.

"The presentation will artfully demonstrate how retailers and interior designers can incorporate bright, bold, relevant colors and product into their storefronts and design projects, deliver thoughtfully merchandised ‘lifestyle' vignettes on their floors and ultimately educate their customers on how to use home accents, gifts and furniture to freshen up an existing room and complement their homes," she said.

The partnership with Houzz adds an interactive component to the showcase. The virtual display on Houzz will feature the vignettes in online ideabooks, in which each vendor will have a green tag that allows viewers to access product and vendor information. iPads will be installed in front of each vignette, letting market attendees comment on their favorite color palettes and designs. Every visitor that leaves a comment will be entered into a drawing for an iPad mini, sponsored by Houzz.

IMC representatives are using social media channels during the market to promote products, showrooms, seminars and events. Las Vegas Market attendees can access the information on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram via the hashtag #RoadToEmerald.
