Newlife Returns to PremièRe Vision for The PE 2014, with Its Eco-Innovation Library

Newlife returns to Première Vision for the PE 2014, with its Eco-Innovation Library – hall 5, booth D15 – packed with new items and new ideas, and fortified by an exciting end to 2012. In November 2012 the Newlife platform won the prestigious Epro BtoB Award in Warsaw and in December was awarded the Premio Impresa Ambiente – best product category – in Rome. As winner of this award, Newlife has the right to take part in the European Business Awards for the Environment in 2014.

And speaking of news, first and foremost is a new identity: Newlife now forms part of Saluzzo Yarns, formerly Filature Miroglio and now part of the Sinterama Group, the Biella-based European leader for the production of coloured polyester yarn and filaments for the automotive industry, home furnishings and other technical applications. It has six manufacturing plants in five countries.

Saluzzo Yarns, under the direction of Stefano Cochis, not only produces yarns for the fabric industry but also creates tailor-made fabric ideas for contemporary fashion garments, sportswear, lingerie and corporate wear. All this is possible through know-how, fabric technology and an in-depth knowledge of its own products, customers and market.

Joining forces with the Sinterama Group has certainly been a sound consolidation strategy. ‘For our Division this move offers an extraordinary opportunity to make the most of our tradition of excellence in the sphere of innovative clothing yarns. In particular, we will strengthen our leadership in sustainable fashion and continue to develop yarns with a hi-tech content, targeting the technical clothing sectors with the highest growth potential in the European market.

Particular emphasis will be placed on the development of Newlife, the most important European platform for eco-friendly yarns with a systemic approach, with a view to establishing the brand as a fashion system benchmark in Europe,’ says Stefano Cochis, Director of Saluzzo Yarns.

Newlife has added more fabric producers to its list of partners, offering even greater choice to brands and retailers. Increasingly exciting collections are presented by confirmed and renowned Newlife partners including Balas Textile, Chamatex, E. Boselli, E. Miroglio, Frantissor Creation, Frizza, Gruppocinque, Inovtech Industrie, Ipeker, Lanificio Becagli, Lanificio Europa, Manifattura Effepi, My-Be, Piave Maitex Pieffe sport, Pontetorto, Sasitex Savoie Sinergie, Serates, Tessitura Tessile Fiorentina, Tessitura Corti, Tessitura Imperiali, Tessitura O. Mariani, Tessitura V. Taiana, Tessport and Top Textil. And new names presenting for the first time in the Newlife Eco-Innovation Library in Paris include Arvind (shirt fabric), Ertex (fabrics for circular knit apparel), Normalha (fabrics for circular knit apparel), Vilartex (fabrics for circular knit apparel) and Verne et Clet (fabrics for apparel).

There are also important developments with brands and retailers: Lafuma, the leading French brand for outdoor apparel, has chosen Newlife for its line of men’s and women’s Eco Life Parkas and Eco Life Jackets, previewed at ISPO (3-6 February 2012).

All of which serves as proof of the great technological, innovative and creative spirit of Newlife, which offers market operators the chance to see for themselves this incredible platform with its huge range of applications.
