French toy company looking to grow in North and South America.
Canal Toys has appointed industry veteran Bill Uzell as president and CEO for its North and South American operations.
Uzell (pictured) arrives at the firm from Fashion Angels Enterprises, where he spent four years as EVP, helping to boost the company's awareness in the tween girls craft category.
His background also includes a stint as EVP of the electronic learning product toy division of Oregon Scientific and president of Digital Blue. Prior to that, Uzell was the worldwide manager of Smart Toys at Intel and served as director of sales at Mattel, Sega of America and Sony Corporation of America.
