All American Containers Selects Port of Kalama

All American Containers has selected the Port of Kalama located in Southwest Washington, District of Columbia, US to expand distribution of full service packaging and bottles for the wine industry.

The move is part of the company's contract with a wine bottle manufacturer Bennu Glass that started production at Port of Kalama in July 2012. AAC Pacific Coast, All American Containers' division will shift to the 33,000ft2 Kalama facility and plans to be operational by 1 October 2012.

The company will provide another distribution channel for the wine bottle manufacturer's annual production of over 100 million bottles and will also expand its food packaging and container operations from the location.

All American Containers AAC Wine west coast operations business development manager Stephanie Ramczyk said the Port of Kalama offered the central location for the company to serve its customers and the growing wine industry in the Northwest.

"The Port of Kalama offers us exactly what we wanted -- a community-focused small-town feel with all the amenities and infrastructure we need to be a world-class distribution hub," Ramczyk added.
